Storm after storm have hit North Devon over the past few months, as it has the rest of the UK and Northern Europe. Our thoughts go out to those who have been adversely effected, and hope that everything is sorted ASAP.
Although you will see the odd instance of storm damage here in North Devon it’s business as usual, it looks like most of the flood defense work undertaken over the past few years has done its job to some extent. Most locations are easily accessible, the beaches are fine (still as beautiful as ever) and businesses are operational and gearing up for the upcoming spring/summer season. The sun is higher everyday and the days longer, noticeable week by week. In the right place at the right time you can bask in glorious vitamin D! The sea is positively balmy at around 9 degrees celsius, this time last year it was dipping to around 6 degrees celsius! So, it could well be (wetsuit) gloves off for Easter! Lets hope.
