Conditions of Booking
Occupation times
- accommodation must be vacated before 10 am on the
day of departure and will be available after 3pm on
the day of arrival Bookings are normally from Saturday
to Saturday unless otherwise stated or arranged.
Restrictions - the persons
hiring the accommodation shall be exactly as stated
on the booking form, under no circumstances will overcrowding
be allowed All children must be included on the booking
form Children are very welcome but young persons are
not allowed accommodation unless accompanied by an adult
The owners/managers reserve the right to refuse a booking
and to terminate the visit of any person whose conduct
is unruly, or detrimental to the comfort of other visitors.
Facilities - accommodation
and any facilities are only for use by those stated
on the booking form and no one else. Free parking is
provided. All breakages of equipment must be paid for.
Pets - are allowed in some
of our properties, as stated in the details. There is
a charge of £15 per week. However, we cannot accept
responsibility for their safety, and they are accepted
only on the understanding that they are kept under control.
At no time should they be left unsupervised on the premises
or allowed on the furniture or in bedrooms. Please note
that on occasion, although a property may specify that
pets are not acceptable it may be possible that the
owners own pets may have been in the property previously.
Please ask if you are choosing a property, specifically
because a person in your party may be allergic to pets
as will be happy to clarify the position. Some properties
describe an enclosed garden this does not mean it is
totally escape proof.
How to Book - Please complete the enclosed booking
form and return it together with your deposit of £75 per week booked (this
includes your £15 booking fee). Please make your cheques payable to Woolacombe
Cottages and send them with the completed booking form to Woolacombe Cottages,
lvycott Farm, Woolacombe. North Devon EX34 7HL. A booking confirmation will
be issued indicating the balance payable, which must be paid not less than 5
weeks before your holiday commences. We reserve the right to re-let the accommodation
if payment is not received by the due date. Payment by Credit/Debit card can
be made by calling us on 01271 870846.
Cancellation - In the event of cancellation we will
make every effort to re-let your booking. lf the accommodation remains unoccupied
we are entitled to retain your deposit and ask for a further payment to compensate
us for our loss. We therefore have now made holiday insurance compulsory and
enclose details of the best value for money policy we can find. Please read
the details carefully and enclose the appropriate payment together with your
£75 deposit (all made payable to Woolacombe Cottages) when booking. Alternatively
you may insure through another policy and send us a copy of the cover issued
together with your booking form your policy will be
sent to you with your confirmation
What to bring - all the accommodation
is fully equipped. Linen is not always provided please
check. If required linen, cots, high chairs etc. can
be provided for a small additional charge, please let
us know your additional requirements when booking.
Booking Conditions
Woolacombe Cottages `the Agents` act only as agents
to the owners of the property and are not principles.
`Applicants` are the term used for those clients wishing
to hire a property and `Tenant` is the name given to
those applicants who have taken up residency at a property.
Any contract is between the Owners of the property,
on one part, and the Applicants or Tenants on the other.
Price Alterations -
The Agents reserve the right to adjust prices quoted
in the brochure, on supplements or on details to properties
due to errors or omissions.
Eligibility - Bookings cannot be accepted from all male
or female parties and where exceptions are made the
Agents reserve the right to make a £20 security
deposit. Some owners also require a damage deposit which
is refundable within one month of departure providing
no damage has occurred.
Tenants Obligations-
1) Tenants agree to ensure property is taken care of
and along with equipment is left clean.
2) To pay for any optional extras as stated in the brochure
3) Tenants agree to pay for any losses or damages to
the property, other than reasonable wear & tear,
unless the cost can be fully recovered under the householder's
insurance policy.
4) Allow Owners and Agents reasonable access to property.
5) Tenants agree not to exceed the total numbers of
persons in the property as stated on the booking form,
or share the property or part with any of the possessions
of the property.
6) Tenants accept responsibility for any pets.
If for reasons beyond ours or the
owners control (eg Fire, Theft, Sale etc) the property
is not available on the dates booked or the holiday
is not available for holiday letting all charges paid
in full by the applicant will be refunded. The Applicants
will have no further charges on the Owner or Agent.
The agents aim to ensure that the information provided
is accurately conveyed in the brochure.
If the applicant has any specific health or mobility
difficulties we request that this is pointed out at
the initial reservation stage so a suitable property
can be recommended.
All complaints must be brought to
the Agents attention immediately so necessary action
can be taken. In no circumstances can compensation be
made for any complaints made after the tenancy has ended
or where the Tenant has denied the Owner or Agent the
opportunity to put matters right.
This brochure and conditions supercede all previous
issues.
