Woolacombe Cottages are delighted to offer a ‘Book with Confidence Guarantee’ to reassure our guests that should restrictions imposed in relation to COVID-19 affect your booking we offer a number of options to ensure you are protected. This assurance extends to offer personal protection for circumstances in relation such as the requirement to self isolate either through contracting the virus or having been picked up on ‘Track and Trace’
This is a policy offered by Woolacombe Cottages and is included as a peace of mind guarantee with every booking as we recognise personal holiday insurance excludes pandemics such as COVID-19
Any booking made either via our website www.woolacombe-cottages.co.uk , via e-mail or via phone will be offered the following options in the instance guests are unable to travel owing to the pandemic.
- Transfer the value of the booking to a future date with no administration fees or increase in rates from the prices shown on the website.
- Transfer the value paid to a unique voucher to be redeemed within 18 months of the start date of your holiday
- Receive a refund of monies paid less £60.00 administration fees and £35.00 non refundable booking fee in relation to services received to date-
Bookings with an arrival date between 3rd – 23rd December 2020
Following the government’s announcement of 26th November 2020 detailing the release from Lockdown 2.0 moving into Tier Restrictions across the country the measures imposed within these Tier Levels may influence bookings throughout December.
Devon is currently in Tier 2 as such Woolacombe Cottages are able to honour bookings from guests living in Tier 1- Medium and Tier 2 High Risk Areas. Anyone living within a Tier 3 Very High Risk Area should not travel unless essential. Woolacombe Cottages will contact any existing bookings affected by these restrictions alternatively please e-mail us at [email protected] should you wish to discuss a booking

Christmas Bookings 23rd – 27th December 2020
For the period of five days and four nights between 23rd December and 27th December the following applies…
– you can form an exclusive ‘Christmas bubble’ composed of people from no more than three households
– you can only be in one Christmas bubble
– you cannot change your Christmas bubble
– you can travel between tiers and UK nations for the purposes of meeting your Christmas bubble
– you can only meet your Christmas bubble in private homes or in your garden, places of worship, or public outdoor spaces
Travel and overnight stays with your Christmas bubble Between 23 and 27 December, you may travel between tiers and other nations of the UK if necessary to meet with other households in your Christmas bubble or return home. Once at your destination, you should follow the rules in that tier.
You should not travel to see your bubble before 23 December, or travel back after the 27 December except in exceptional circumstances (for example, if a member of your Christmas bubble develops symptoms of COVID-19 and you are required to self-isolate). Anyone travelling to or from Northern Ireland may travel on the 22 and 28 December.
– You can stay in private rented accommodation with members of your household, or your Christmas bubble.

Our business is fully compliant with government requirements and is accredited through the Visit England ‘Good To Go’ scheme.
We recognise the importance of keeping our guests, owners, staff and local community safe as such have taken extensive measures to reduce the risk of spread of COVID-19.
Here are some of the measures we will be taking to help protect everyone;
COVID Risk Assessment undertaken at our office and each property
Every property Woolacombe Cottages are responsible for the changeovers on will be ‘Misted’ with a 7 log Kill rate hospital grade disinfectant on each changeover in addition to the extensive cleaning routine- this will help to neutralise any virus throughout the property from soft furnishings to high reach areas with particular focus on ‘High touch Points’
Each changeover team have a very extensive protocol to fulfil, all products will be compliant with current standards
Disposable remote control sleeves will be provided on every changeover
Mattress protectors and pillow protectors will be changed on every changeover in addition to all linen
All cleaners will be equipped with PPE
Guests will be provided with hand sanitisers, disinfectant wipes, and an emergency PPE kit provided
All property information will be sent to guests digitally prior to arrival with COVID information
Books, games, toys, paper, and non-essential soft furnishings will be removed from properties
Links with local businesses offering deliveries to our holiday properties reducing the need to regularly visit shops during your stay- details of these services will be sent to our guests prior to their arrival.
Links and discounts with local attractions and activity centres enabling guests to book in advance and discuss any queries prior to arrival.
Friendly local service available on the phone and text service available 24 x 7 for guests to easily contact us for assistance or to report any health concerns.
As a small local family business we understand and can relate to the impact COVID-19 is causing, as such our aim is to assist each booking with a personalised approach to reassure our guests and owners, our team are doing all we possibly can to ease this difficult situation. Guests will be required to confirm prior to their arrival they do not display any symptoms.
